The Red Cross, along with the Red Crescent, is delivering essential food and medicine to people in desperate need, providing transportation of critical cases to nearest hospitals and shelter to fleeing families.
The White Helmets, The Syria Civil Defense, is a volunteer civil defense non-governmental organization working to rescue people from the rubble of destroyed buildings.
Donations to their “hero fund” are used to pay for medical care for injured White Helmets, to help them get back on their feet, as well as supporting families of volunteers killed in action.
Doctors Without Borders, supports 8 hospitals in the city of Aleppo. It runs six medical facilities across northern Syria and supports more than 150 health centers and hospitals across the country, many of them in besieged areas. MSF is no longer able to get into the city but continues to try to help the facilities it supports.
Syria Relief, providing medical aid to the people of Syria and expanded into food, shelter and education.
The Syrian American Medical Society, provides medical treatment on the ground in southern Syria as well as for refugees in Turkey, Lebanon, and Jordan, as well as providing medical training. They have already treated more than 2.6 million patients and supported more than 1,700 health workers.
Islamic Relief, has been working on the ground in Syria since the beginning of the conflict and has so far helped more than three million people. They have been providing food and medical support, as well as distributing winter survival kits, including warm clothes and boots, as the cold months draw in.
Save The Children, is on theground in Syria, and is helping refugee communities throughout the region,providing Syrian children and their families with food, emergency care,shelter, protection, clean water and warm clothes.
